Care Tips
-
18k Gold Filled
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or during strenuous exercise, as prolonged exposure to water, chlorine, and sweat can reduce its lifespan.
Use a soft cloth or a gentle jewelry cleaning solution to clean your gold-filled pieces. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the surface.
Remove your jewelry when applying perfumes, lotions, or hairsprays, as these products may cause discoloration over time.
-
Opaque Gemstones
(such as opals, malachite, and lapis lazuli)
Never use an ultrasonic cleaner or cleaning chemicals such as bleach or ammonia on opaque gemstones.
Opaque gemstones should only be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Avoid contact with hair sprays, lotions or perfumes since the chemicals can be absorbed over time and cause discoloration.
Please remove jewelry before exercising.
-
Translucent Gemstones
(such as topaz, sapphire, or citrine)
To clean your jewelry, soak it in a bowl of water with a small amount of diluted dish soap.
If needed, remove dirt around and behind the stone using a soft-bristle toothbrush.
Place jewelry in a strainer and rinse before thoroughly drying with a soft, lint-free cloth.
For diamonds, rubies or sapphires set in gold, rinse the jewelry with a drop of ammonia added to water.
Do not use ammonia on other gemstones since it can discolor and damage these materials.
